2D Elasticity¶
Validation of XdTd's 2D elasticity solver against classical analytical solutions.
1.1 Thick-Walled Cylinder Under Internal Pressure¶
The Lame problem: a cylinder with inner radius 200 mm, outer radius 400 mm, subjected to internal pressure of 100 MPa.
1.2 Rotating Disc¶
A solid circular disc subjected to centrifugal body forces due to rotation. The analytical solution provides closed-form expressions for radial and hoop stresses.
1.3 Cantilever Beam Under Gravity¶
A cantilever beam clamped at one end and deflecting under self-weight.
